Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20th, 2002) is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Her leading characters in the Disney films High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Bizaardvark made her well-known in the late 2010. Rodrigo became famous after joining Interscope Records and Geffen Records in 2020. The debut single "Drivers License" broke several records and was named as one of the top-selling songs in 2021. Following the singles "Deja Vu", and "Good 4 U", Rodrigo released her debut solo album Sour (2021), to great commercial and critical success. She won three Grammy Awards. In 2022, she released Olivia Rodrigo, a Disney+ documentary on her process of creating, Olivia Rodrigo. Driving Home 2 U followed. Rodrigo is a Billboard Hot 100 singles number-one and a Billboard 200 album number-one, and has five multi-Platinum certificates from the Recording Industry Association of America. Alongside her other awards, Rodrigo won the American Music Award, seven Billboard Music Awards, and four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named her the 2021 Entertainer of the Year, and Billboard declared her Woman of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is the daughter of Jennifer Rodrigo (school teacher) and Chris Rodrigo (family therapist). She was born in Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta on the 20th of February 2003. Her family resides in Temecula. Rodrigo is a Filipino American, is Rodrigo;[8 Her father is Filipino and her mother is German and Irish. [6][9][10]She has stated that her great-grandfather, who is her paternal grandfather, emigrated from the Philippines as an adolescent. The family also adheres to Filipino customs. Rodrigo began singing lessons in kindergarten, and soon began playing the piano. [12] She started taking acting and singing classes when she was six years old and started acting in the theater of her elementary school productions. [5][13] Rodrigo began playing guitar at age 12. 12 years old, she grew up listening to alternative rock music from her parents, such as Pearl Jam, No Doubt, Green Day, and the White Stripes. Rodrigo began to write songs following her exposure to country music, especially American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. 14 years old, she relocated from Brazil to Los Angeles following her audition for Bizaardvark.
